Best Laid Plans.....

So I am a project manager. I have a PMP

(Project Manager Professional) certification and have been managing projects for 20 years. So I should know better than anyone that plans can and will go awry....

The plan was to put the condo on the market April 1 and have it quickly sold with a closing date set and an agreement to move out of the house by the time of our flight on June 9.

In May, we had hired a firm to do a estate sale to basically sell anything that was not sent to Israel already. Whatever did not sell would be donated and we would leave to Israel with the house sold (extra money), and everything sold/donated. Clean start!!!

What I did not count on was my son suddenly having to move from Oklahoma City and need a place to stay in Cincinnati. Guess what? I have a place!!!

So we are not going to clean out or sell the condo until after he has reorganized his life. At that point, this will all have to be done remotely, with assistance from my son and others.

Of course, I want to help my son, and I am happy to be able to do it, but its just added stress that we will have in Israel that we were not counting on, not to mention the added cost.

Anyway, we are still moving closer to the June 9 flight date.
